"Toro Nagasi" (Ryokan Yamazaki)

"Toro Nagasi" (Lantern Floating Ceremony) is a cultural event sending off the spirits of the dead on lanterns floating on the water. It's held on the last day of "Obon".

Place: Hirosawa-no-ike (pond), Ukyo-ku, Kyoto
Date: August 16
Time: Evening
* You will also be able to see "Torii-gata" on Kyoto Gozan Fire Festival.
* Driving is not allowed surrounding areas.

Stay Ryokan Yamazaki and feel this traditional Japanese culture.
